NO APPOINTMENT-EVER

Just walk-in with your application and ID

The livescan process

Walk-ins are always welcome. No appointment is necessary. When planning to come in for a livescan, all that is needed is the Request for Livescan application and a valid ID. Examples of an acceptable ID form is a state license or identification card, a temporary license with another form of picture ID, passport , resident card or any other government issued ID. Students under age 18 who do not have a license, a picture school ID is sufficient.

If you have not received a Request for Livescan application from your potential employer, or organization, please request one from that potential employer or organization as this will help us categorize the application to the DOJ and/or FBI more precisely. If the potential employer does not have an application to give you, please call and inquire with us as we may have just the application you need.

If being fingerprinted on an FD-258 card is needed, please call us for availability. Whether you have been issued FD-258 cards or need them, we will be happy to assist you. 909-885-2100

FAQ’S

What happens to my prints?

Your prints are electronically sent to the DOJ and/or FBI. Each agency does their investigation of your background. Upon completion of that investigation, they send the results to whomever requested you to get the livescan.

What if my prints weren’t received?

If results are not received, there are alternative methods in place. Please contact our office and we will assist you.

How long does it take to receive my results?

The DOJ states that any record will take between 3 and 30 days, however, the turn-around time we typically see is a few days to a couple of weeks. The process for an application involving a firearm is typically 3-4 months.

What do I do if I receive a rejection letter?

If a rejection letter is received, bring the letter to our office, where the applicant will be re-printed, free of charge. When the DOJ receives the second set of fingerprints and information, they run the record by name, instead of the fingerprints. If the letter is not presented, this process is not able to take place.

How much does fingerprinting cost?

The cost of all applications is different. DOJ fees are typically $32. FBI fees vary. Our roll fee is $19. Please call for complete pricing of your particular application.

How long does the process take?

In our office, the processing time varies depending on how many people are waiting. If there is no one waiting, the process typically takes less than 10 minutes.
